1. Comfort Zones Are No Places For Dreamers
Comfort zones are great for... well, they aren't great for anything to be honest. Comfort zones provide us with temporary refuge and give us the impression that we're safe from risk, disappointment and heartbreak. However, these zones are truly false friends - they hold us back and stifle our potential. Life is risky any way you take it, go after your dreams - they're yours! Lilly often speaks about needing to push through that comfortable bubble of "safety" to get to your end goal. I think we all know that comfort and monotony never lead to growth, breakthroughs or epic realizations, which is are necessary parts of human development. And as painful as some of these experiences can seem at the time, they force you go stretch and reach beyond yourself and before you know it, you come out the other end stronger and closer to the person you were destined to be!
If Lilly allowed her fears to stop her from opening her YouTube Channel, doing her international world tour and film (as general examples), would she be the girl who survived her depression and is now happily pursuing the life she's always dreamed of?

2. Work, Hustle & Grind For What You Want
"For anyone aspiring to be anything, I would like them to realise dreams require work. So work big time." - Lilly Singh
Now, once you've begun exploring the world outside of your comfort zones, get to WORK.
I genuinely love watching Lilly's VLOG Channel for one reason really, it shows you the work and hustle of her everyday life. It takes you on a ride through her production and stress of running her very successful main channel. We often see the surface of something and think we know the whole story, but Lilly truly shows you the highs and lows of chasing your dreams. From 4 am flights and sleepless nights to finally getting to bed at 4 am after a day of shooting and having to get up at 8 to start the next day. Nothing worth having comes easy, but the best things are truly worth fighting for. Your dreams without action are, sad to say, DEAD. If you're not living, you're dead and are dreams are no different - wake up everyday and bust your butt to make sure you get it done. Sacrifice, execution and determination are truly what it takes. "Go after your dreams, they're yours." - Diana Ross.

I'm the type of person who doesn't hope, dream or wish for things. I work and work and work.
3. Never Forget Where You Came From
Lilly has never been shy or afraid to embrace her Indian (Punjab) Heritage and the beauty of her culture and her people. Having grown up in Canada, her persona can definitely resonate with every one of us. The fact that she wholeheartedly appreciates her background, though, has not only made #TeamSuper (Her fan-base) fall in love with Lilly/Superwoman but also with her heritage as well. Her varying characters over the years have been diverse, entertaining and authentic and authenticity goes along way! Never be ashamed of who you are and the legacy that has paved the way for where you stand today.
I was the first South Asian female to do comedy videos on YouTube. But at the same time, all races face their barriers, and I've learned through YouTube, if it's not race, it will be sexism, if it's not sexism, it will be homophobia. It will always be something, and all voices should be heard.
4. Be-YOU-Tiful
I think what people like about my channel is that I am not perfect. I always point to my pimple, my bad hair day... people relate to that. They are watching somebody who is exactly like them and talking about things that they experience as well.
Speaking of embracing all that you are, Lilly never shies away from showing herself to us in her rawest and roughest moments! Whether it's her now waking up, getting out of the shower or battling a savage cold - Lilly invites you to see it all. She enjoys poking fun at herself and that makes her all the more lovable! Once you learn to love yourself, yes - it's definitely not easy, then you begin to shine in ways you may have never imagined before. Lilly climbed out of her depression and step by step found herself again and today, her fire is one so bright, very few can even attempt to extinguish it. Fall in love with who you are authentically and the rest will come. It's a process and we're all learning ;)
It's really important to talk to yourself and look at yourself in the mirror and love who you are.
5. Be Happy, Be SUPER.
Once you've started expanding your comfort zone, have started grinding day in and day out for your dreams, have embraced who you are in its entirety - then you're ready to... realize you've been SUPER all along! The amazing, firecracker persona you've been waiting to unleash has been waiting inside of you like a lion getting ready to attack its prey. You, the lion; life, the prey. Use all the little tools, you've picked up along your turbulent journey and use them to shine a light and inspire others to become their best! Once you are full and content with you who are, then you can engage your full potential in this life!
Happiness is the only thing worth fighting for in your life.
